The showreel is packed with fresh projects and is a testament to Solarflare Studio’s passion for blending creative storytelling with cutting-edge technology

Introducing Solarflare Studio’s brand new showreel. Packed with fresh projects, it’s a testament to Solarflare Studio’s passion for blending creative storytelling with cutting-edge technology to push the boundaries of experiential marketing.

From gamified virtual worlds to captivating augmented activations on tour, the team had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most forward-thinking brands out there – UEFA, LEGO, F1, ASICS, Heineken, and Hennessy, to name a few. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and the team are immensely proud to have delivered immersive experiences that not only resonate with audiences but also spark a community buzz among consumers.

Crafting Connections Beyond Boundaries

Whether through personal education or reward-driven gamification, we’re in an era where consumers desire to feel connected to a brand’s values. Immersive storytelling holds that subtle power to engage multiple senses, connect with an audience’s emotions and, as a result, get them talking or taking action.

To bring that moment to life, Solarflare Studio navigates its diverse palette of technologies to creatively find the best fit for its client’s challenges and ambitions. From AR, VR, and MR to AI, Data Visualisation, Robotics and more, Solarflare Studio’s tech-agnostic approach allows the team to create highly tailored long-term strategies to nurture a customer’s journey and adapt it as technologies evolve. The end goal? A creative solution that fits within marketing strategies, uniquely driving active engagement and loyalty.

A Legacy of Experiential

Founded by Stuart Cupit, Jay Short, John Martinelli and Lee Spooner, Solarflare has always been driven to push the boundaries of what’s possible, inspire others to do the same, and of course, hack new technologies.

“Our annual showreel is a fantastic reminder of all the amazing projects we’ve worked on, all the great talent we’ve worked with and most importantly, all the people who have enjoyed the experiences we create!” said Stuart Cupit, chief technology officer, Solarflare Studio.

“This year has started quickly in the creative tech field, revealing lots of new technologies that have us at Solarflare excited for what the year will bring. Our passion for blending digital and physical activations has never been stronger, as we aim to push the limits of innovation working with our brilliant clients.” said John Martinelli, head of production, Solarflare Studio.

“2024 offers a huge range of opportunities for those exploring experiential in both physical and digital spaces – from the constantly shifting AI landscape to the exciting potential of the Apple Vision Pro headset and others. It’s a great time to talk!” said Jay Short, client services director, Solarflare Studio.

Empowering Brands, Inspiring Audiences

Beyond the end goal of fostering meaningful connections, Solarflare Studio empowers brands and agencies to stay ahead of the curve through an agile, collaborative process. By fusing Solarflare Studio’s creativity and technological know-how, the team educates partners not to hop on that hot trend but to guide them through both the breadth of the opportunity and the risks attached.

From sports and retail to entertainment and education, we love working with a range of industries, each with a unique story to tell. Be it through a brand activation, creative solution, or an interactive live event. Here are some of Solarflare Studio’s latest projects where the team hacked the best tech fits:

  • Hennessy’s nostalgic AI album artwork celebrates 50 years of Hip Hop.
  • A spooktacular AI audio-visual experience for Abode festival goers.
  • Siemens’ bespoke volumetric narrative at COP28.
  • The UK rail industry’s first foray into VR training.
  • UNWTO’s illuminating kinetic centrepiece for World Tourism Day.

Measuring Experiential Impact

As Solarflare Studio continues to innovate, the team is always committed to measuring the impact of their work. Solarflare Studio’s immersive experiences not only provide brands with an effective platform to educate their audience about complex topics or promote social causes but also come with metrics to match. Through detailed project engagement monitoring and reporting, Solarflare Studio offers valuable insights into audience interactions, dwell time, and sentiment. This data-driven approach not only helps the team refine their strategies but ensures that each digital experience they create delivers maximum impact and value.
