Conero Film + ADV 2024 Reveals Official Shortlist

Conero Film + ADV (CFA) unveils the official selection for its second edition. Taking place between 6-8th September in the heart of Conero Park on the Adriatic Coast, the carefully curated line up features over 100 productions, blending established industry powerhouses with promising up-and-coming directors across campaigns, branded content, independent productions, music videos, and fashion films.

The festival’s selection embraces a wide spectrum of creativity, highlighting CFA’s commitment to sustainability through the lenses of Creative Sustainability, Social Sustainability, and Environmental Sustainability.

Shortlist

Notable selections include the viral, award-winning campaign Assume That I Can by Coordown, directed by Rich Lee and produced by Indiana Production; Patagonia’s compelling documentary Art as Activism, showing how activism can be a form of art, directed by Giorgio Blanco and produced by Pop-Up Magazine Productions; Wasted - Stellantis, a humorous yet critical reflection on plastic usage, directed by Tobia Passigato and produced by Basement HQ; The Shape of Life - Serafino Consoli, a fashion film exploring the brand's environmental connection through dance, directed by Nicola Martini and produced by Jumpp; and Sexed - But Then It Happened, a stark examination of the silence surrounding violence, directed by Jan Dybus and produced by Papaya Films; and Elegy - an independent production by Kitty McNamee exploring the importance of sustaining true creativity by staying true to one's own voice.

Jury

The official program will screen a selection of shortlisted films, nominated and winning entries across various categories, judged by a panel of 20 esteemed jury members including: Alessio Rosa (Videoclip Italia), Formafantasma, Arnau Salvado Recorder (Metal Magazine), Candide McDonald (The Stable), Daniel Huntley (shots), Davide Baldi (Dude), Davide Boscacci (Accenture Song), Elisa Pervinca (Vogue Italia), Fanny Fragu (HENRY), Francesco Calabrese (Puro), Grace Farson (Anomaly), Karim Bartoletti (Indiana), Laurence Rilly (Arte), Lyndy Stout (1.4), Marbelle (Directors Notes), Marta Bobic (Canada), Philipp Ulita (Berlin Commercial), Peniel Gebreselassie and Eleanor Weitzer (McCann), Sara Maino (Fondazione Sozzani), and Sebastian Wegner (Vimeo).

Programme

This year's event promises a dynamic mix of networking opportunities, insightful panels, and inspiring talks, screenings and Awards ceremony. Conero Film + ADV 2024 kicks off on Friday, September 6th, with a Welcome Drinks & Networking Dinner from 18:00 to 00:00, offering a friendly atmosphere for attendees to connect. On Saturday, September 7th, the day starts with Outdoor Networking Activities from 09:00 to 14:00 in the picturesque Conero Natural Park, featuring horse riding, boat tours, wine tasting, and hiking. The afternoon features Panels & Talks from 16:00 to 19:30, including sessions on innovative storytelling with AI, sustainable agency redesign, and filmmaker Q&As. The evening will celebrate the CFA 2024 Official Selection & Awards from 20:00 to 22:30, followed by a party from 22:30 to 00:00. The event concludes on Sunday, September 8th, with a Networking Brunch presented by Papaya Films  from 10:00 to 15:00, featuring the case study "Means to an End - Low Carbon Hustle.
