Felt Music Kicks Off Showcase Series

It’s been a couple of weeks since Felt Music's new showcase series kicked off with the amazing Morgan Harper-Jones and Katy J Pearson performing live at Felt HQ. 

Teaming up with rights holder PIAS, Felt put into action a plan to shine a light on some of the amazing talent that it has right under its noses. Showcasing artists that Felt both love and believe are perfect for film, TV and advertising as well. 

Morgan & Katy performed great, stripped back sets which lent beautifully to the intimate space downstairs at Felt’s Soho offices. As Dan Coplestone (PIAS) recalls "It was wonderful to see Morgan and Katy in this setting, playing a mix of oldies and unreleased tracks stripped down to guitar and vocals. This really highlighted the quality of their song writing and gave insight into the early stages of songs I've loved over the past few years, as well as showcasing their uniquely fantastic vocals."

The audience obviously felt the same way as they were really receptive to what they were hearing, chiming in with impromptu singalongs, keeping the atmosphere light hearted and fun, leaving both artists and crowd beaming by the end. 

It was fantastic to see so many friendly faces from across the advertising and music industry really enjoying the music and if you are keen for more from either artist then you’ll be pleased to know that Morgan Harper-Jones released her long-awaited debut album ‘Up To The Glass’ via Play It Again Sam on 22nd March of this year. Whilst the new album from the wonderful Katy J Pearson is called ‘Someday, Now’ and is set for release on 20th September via Heavenly Recordings / [PIAS].
