Radio LBB: Rodent Boy Summer

Behold! The internet has birthed another trend to burrow itself into the dark folds of our grey matter. It’s Rodent Boy Summer, folks. 

Ever since Megan Thee Stallion declared (and trademarked) the first Hot Girl Summer in 2018, we’ve seen new and more specific evolutions arise each year. Tomato Girl Summer, Tinned Fish Summer, Rot Girl Summer… it’s only fitting to add some rats atop the compost pile. 

Like their viral predecessors, Rodent Boys hyper-romanticize something that would otherwise go unnoticed. The range of rodents is massive. From mice, to gophers, to capybaras, you would be hard-pressed not to find a rodent with which to physically identify. It’s a work of incredible marketing for normal-looking men everywhere. 

In this spirit, I present to you a playlist for romanticizing all the otherwise average moments of your life. Why let men with angular faces and beady eyes have all the fun? Your walk home is now a Pensive Boy Stroll. Making coffee is It Girl Caffeination. Eating pizza on the subway is, and arguably always has been, Rodent Dinner.
