TBWA\London has appointed the dynamic James Faupel as its new head of production. Bringing more than two decades of industry experience, James is renowned for his creative capabilities and innovative strategic approach to production, having held recent prominent roles at leading creative agencies such as Mother, 4Creative and Uncommon.

He has been hired to expand and diversify the production department, exploring unconventional and disruptive ways of working across alternative channels. He is known for his proactive attitude and exceptional creative skills; he has successfully led production departments and delivered high-quality creative projects. Under his leadership James will be providing a clear vision and guidance for the team, ensuring the department continues to thrive. With a full-strength team in place, TBWA\London will now amplify its recent creative impact and solidify its position as a leading force in the industry.

James will report to CCO Andy Jex, who he worked with at Saatchi & Saatchi on campaigns such as the launch of EE and the British Arrow Ad of the Year, T Mobile ‘Welcome Home’ ensuring a seamless integration into the agency's operations. The appointment continues TBWA\London’s development of its senior team following its recent appointment of Raquel Chicorel as chief strategy officer.

Replacing Melody Slyvester who left to join Common People Films, James will focus on collaborating with the production department with the creative department, account management, and clients to bring innovative ideas to life.

Prior to TBWA\London, James worked at Meta Reality Labs and was previously client-side within META EMEA Marcom Team, where he contributed to innovative projects in the immersive technology space. Following this, he was the integrated production director at Mother and served as an executive producer for 4Creative, where he worked on the celebrated work ‘Partygate’. He also led the production team at And Rising and was the head of broadcast at Karmarama.

James Faupel, head of production at TBWA\London, said, "I've always respected and admired TBWA\London's work, especially since working with Andy Jex during the EE launch while we were both at Saatchi & Saatchi. I am eager to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and beyond to help drive the agency’s growth and innovation.”

Andy Jex, TBWA\London CCO, “James’s character, experience and skill set make him the perfect fit for us. As a head of production being a maker, a fixer and a doer is a given. But it’s his creativity that sets him apart. The best work takes many weird and wonderful forms, so in order to make them you need a fundamental love and understanding of ideas and how to craft them and that’s what James brings in spades.”
