Whatsapp - We Are Ayenda

Following the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, the rights of women and girls were suddenly whipped away. The girls of Afghan National Youth Football Team used WhatsApp to orchestrate their escape from the country - and later WhatsApp created a documentary of their amazing story. Screening on Amazon Prime Video, the film was launched during the 2023 Women's World Cup and was awarded at Sundance.
