Africa was founded in December 2002 with the differentiated proposal of serving few customers, through exclusive teams and direct action of the partners throughout the process - a unique service model in Brazil. The agency belongs to the ABC Group, which is part of the Omnicom Group.

Headquartered in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Africa was elected International Agency of the Year by Advertising Age magazine in 2014, and has been named one of the most creative agencies in the world by Adweek.

In 2015, it was the Agency of the Year in Lürzer's Archive, one of the most prestigious and important publications in the worldwide advertising market. In addition to being chosen Agency of the Year for two years by the Caboré Prize, the main award of Brazilian advertising, Africa was elected the agency most admired in the last seven years by CartaCapital and also by the newspaper DCI.
